Harun Ndubi denies drunk driving, released on Sh30,000 cash bail
Lawyer Harun Ndubi was charged on Monday with driving under the influence of alcohol, failing to comply with police instructions and causing obstruction on Jakaya kikwete Road.
The human rights lawyer was arrested near Gate D of State House on Sunday night while on his way home.
Ndubi denied the charges before Milimani resident magistrate Electer Riany and was released on a cash bail of Sh30,000.
The lawyer is currently representing Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati whose firearm licence the government revoked, amid a crackdown on National Resistance Movement members.
He is also Miguna Miguna’s lawyer and participated in several high profile cases representing NASA.
Arati is a member of the movement led by National Super Alliance boss Raila Odinga.
The case will be heard on February 23.
