Yesterday Deputy President William Ruto was the Guest of Honor in Kakamega’s Bonny Khalwale annual bullfighters sponsored contest.

Ruto who has declared interest for Jubilee’s 2022 presidential candidate has been making alliances with key politicians in different regions who will work out as his point-men in seeking votes for State House.

In Western, Ruto has found support in Sports CS Rashid Mohammed and Bonny Khalwale, who is seeking to succeed Governor Wycliffe Oparanya in Kakamega County.

Bonny invited Ruto as the Guest of Honor in his annual event, a Luhya tradition for bull fighting that has been succeeded over generations.

The event attracted a huge number of supporters and fans clearly indicating to any that would downplay Bonny’s role in Ruto’s campaign in the region that the man means business.

With Ruto’s financial might, it is likely that Bonny Khalwale, though out of government, will be able to amass enough for successfull campaigns in the Agricultural rich County.
